Cookie Policy
Clear information about cookies, analytics and similar technologies used by the Evy website and browser app.
Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Evy uses cookies and similar technologies on myevy.app and the browser version of Evy. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small text file stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, software-development kits, pixels and device identifiers.
Technologies we may use
- Cookies: small browser files used for preferences, sessions, security or analytics.
- Local and session storage: browser storage used to remember settings or support app functionality.
- SDKs and device identifiers: technologies used in mobile apps for authentication, diagnostics, notifications and analytics.
- Pixels or tags: code that helps measure page usage or campaign performance where enabled.
Cookie categories
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, authentication, session continuity, load balancing, consent storage and core website functions. | Used where necessary to provide the requested service. |
| Preferences | Remember language, display choices and other optional settings. | Consent may be requested where required. |
| Analytics | Understand visits, feature usage, performance and errors. | Activated only after consent where applicable. |
| Marketing | Measure campaigns or personalise advertising. | Not currently planned for launch; would require prior consent where applicable. |
Google Analytics
We may configure Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website. Depending on configuration, Google may receive identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, browser and device details, pages viewed, interactions and timestamps.
Where consent is required, analytics will remain disabled until you choose to accept it. We recommend using consent mode, limiting retention, disabling unnecessary advertising features and applying privacy-focused configuration.
Consent choices
When optional cookies are used, the website should display a consent interface that allows you to accept or reject non-essential categories. Rejecting optional cookies should not prevent access to core website functions.
You may change or withdraw your choice through the cookie settings interface when available. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before the change.
How long technologies remain
Session technologies expire when you close the browser or shortly afterwards. Persistent technologies remain for a defined period or until you delete them. Exact durations depend on the purpose and provider. Evy will periodically review configured durations and avoid keeping identifiers longer than reasonably necessary.
Browser and device controls
Most browsers allow you to view, block and delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may affect login, security or other functionality. Mobile operating systems also provide controls for notifications, permissions, advertising identifiers and app data.
Cookies in the mobile app
Traditional browser cookies are generally not the main technology used inside the native mobile app. The app may instead use secure local storage, SDKs, device tokens and identifiers for authentication, notifications, diagnostics, moderation and service operation. These practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available on this page.
