Community Guidelines
Simple rules that keep Evy useful, authentic and safe for attendees, organisers and local communities.
A community built around real experiences
Evy helps people discover and share events. These Guidelines apply to event listings, profiles, images, comments, messages, links and all other activity on Evy. They are designed to protect users while allowing diverse communities and events to thrive.
Be authentic
- Publish only real events that you are authorised to promote.
- Use accurate dates, locations, prices, ticket links and organiser details.
- Do not impersonate a person, venue, brand or organisation.
- Do not create misleading pages, fake attendance, false reviews or fabricated urgency.
- Update or cancel listings promptly when circumstances change.
Respect everyone
Harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, humiliation, targeted abuse, hateful conduct and discrimination are not allowed. Do not attack people based on protected or personal characteristics. Disagreement is allowed; dehumanisation, intimidation and repeated unwanted contact are not.
Protect physical safety
Do not promote credible threats, instructions to cause serious harm, dangerous challenges, weapons trafficking or content that creates an immediate safety risk. Organisers must communicate material safety rules and must not conceal known hazards.
In an emergency, contact local emergency services. Evy is not an emergency-response service.
No illegal activity, fraud or exploitation
- No scams, phishing, malware, counterfeit tickets or deceptive payment requests.
- No promotion or coordination of unlawful goods, services or activities.
- No exploitation, trafficking, coercion or facilitation of abuse.
- No unauthorised gambling or activities requiring licences that the organiser does not hold.
- No attempts to bypass legal age restrictions, venue requirements or official controls.
Sexual content and protection of minors
Sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, grooming and any sexual content involving minors are strictly prohibited. Explicit sexual content or nudity that is unsuitable for a general event-discovery platform may be removed even where it is not unlawful.
Respect privacy
Do not publish private contact details, home addresses, identity documents, financial information, private conversations or precise live location without permission. Do not record or share identifiable people from private settings where consent is reasonably expected.
No spam or platform manipulation
Do not repeatedly post duplicate events, send bulk unsolicited messages, manipulate favourites or participation, use bots, scrape user information, evade restrictions or direct users to harmful or misleading websites.
Respect intellectual property
Use only photos, logos, music, descriptions and other material that you created, licensed or are otherwise authorised to use. Credit alone does not automatically give permission. Rights holders may contact us to report infringement.
Extra responsibilities for organisers
- Provide a reachable and identifiable organiser contact where appropriate.
- Comply with permits, licences, insurance, venue, accessibility, capacity and safety requirements.
- Clearly disclose ticket prices, mandatory fees, refund terms and age restrictions.
- Do not imply that Evy sponsors, verifies or guarantees an event unless we have confirmed this in writing.
- Respond responsibly to attendee concerns and report serious safety incidents.
Reporting concerns
You can report an event, profile, comment or message using the reporting controls in Evy. Provide enough context for review and do not knowingly submit false or abusive reports. For urgent legal or safety concerns, email info@myevy.app.
How we enforce these rules
We may use automated detection, including AI-assisted moderation, together with human review. Depending on severity, history, context and risk, action may include reduced visibility, removal, warnings, feature restrictions, suspension, permanent account termination, preservation of evidence or referral to authorities.
We may act immediately where there is a serious risk of harm, fraud, exploitation or unlawful activity. Moderation systems are not perfect, and absence of removal does not mean that content is endorsed.
Appeals and questions
If you believe that content or an account was restricted by mistake, contact info@myevy.app with the relevant details. We will review reasonable appeals, but we may not disclose confidential security methods, reporter identities or information that would endanger others.
